Creating a destination brand and a community-led retail concept

Avocado Tree Digital developed the FerroHub name, brand identity and experience strategy for an upcoming open-air destination by Triveni Steel. The engagement connected retail, food and beverage, sport, pet-friendly spaces and community events within a consistent proposition for tenants and visitors.

Context

Triveni Steel was developing an open-air lifestyle and retail destination in Budigere, Bengaluru. The project needed a distinctive identity and a practical experience concept that could support tenant conversations and future visitor engagement.

The challenge

Create a brand from the ground up, define the destination’s mix of experiences and translate the proposition into materials for leasing, launch planning and community activation.

Our approach

Naming and positioning

Created “FerroHub”, combining Ferro, drawn from the Latin ferrum for iron, with Hub as a centre for community life. The name connected the new destination with Triveni Steel’s heritage. Positioned the project around open-air experiences, green spaces, steel architectural elements and outdoor dining.

Visual identity

Developed logotypes, colour standards, typography, digital brandmarks and social media guidelines. Established a palette of Ferro Ash, Ferro Blue, Ferro Cyan and Ferro Grey, supported by the Omnes type family.

Retail and experience planning

Defined a curated mix of high-street retail, microbreweries, food trucks and outdoor dining. Planned community amenities including a pet park, pickleball and futsal courts, music events, outdoor screenings and cultural pop-ups.

Commercial and launch framework

Developed a business deck and operating framework for commercial advisor and tenant discussions. Structured the website sitemap, digital board guidelines, social launch approach, PR framework and an ongoing engagement calendar.

Outcomes and achievements

The engagement established a named destination brand, a consistent visual identity and an integrated retail experience concept. Commercial materials supported leasing conversations, while launch and community planning created a framework for future activity. FerroHub is an upcoming development; visitor and footfall results are not yet reported.

Client testimonial

I have worked with Kavita on the FerroHub project and found her ability to understand the brand and how to create something that aligns with the organisation a natural skill set. Not only did she help in creating a very scalable brand name, 'FerroHub', with an excellent brand narrative, but she has also been instrumental as a consultant on various aspects of branding, digital and how to position the brand to consumers. I look forward to working with her in future projects and would recommend her for organisations looking for creative methods to grow their organisation.
