Automated systems can make bidding and delivery decisions quickly. They cannot independently decide what a healthy customer or a worthwhile commercial outcome means for your business.

That definition comes from people. So do the choices about conversion events, values, constraints and the data being supplied.

Review the inputs before admiring the output. Are conversions counted consistently? Are cancellations reflected? Does the recorded value represent the outcome you care about? Is the campaign being rewarded for quantity when quality matters?

Human judgement also belongs in creative, product claims and customer experience. Generating more variations does not resolve a weak offer or a misleading promise.

Give automation a clear objective and boundaries. Monitor business outcomes alongside platform reports, and investigate unexpected changes. Resist both blind trust and constant interference without a reason.

The useful relationship is complementary: systems help execute and find patterns, while people define value, question the evidence and remain accountable for the decision.
