Search advice changes quickly. The underlying questions are more stable: can a search engine access the page, understand its subject and connect it to a useful answer?
Make important pages reachable through sensible navigation and descriptive internal links. Give each a clear purpose, a relevant title and headings that help readers follow the explanation. Keep crucial information available as readable text.
Technical housekeeping matters. Review indexing instructions, redirects, canonical URLs, broken pages and duplicate content with someone qualified to interpret them. A sitemap does not compensate for a confusing site structure.
Help people use the page once they arrive. Google recommends an LCP of 2.5 seconds or less and INP of 200 milliseconds or less for a good experience, measured at the 75th percentile. These are loading and responsiveness benchmarks, not ranking promises.
Write to resolve a visitor’s question rather than repeat a keyword. A useful service page explains suitability, evidence and next steps. Structured data should accurately describe visible content where relevant; it does not rescue a weak offer.
Before commissioning more articles, check whether your most commercially important existing pages answer their intended questions well.
A number worth understanding
2.5s / 200ms
Good thresholds for LCP loading and INP responsiveness at the 75th percentile. Performance benchmarks, not guaranteed search outcomes.
